Mackenzie

You've brought joy to my life?
Since the day you were born.
It?s hard to believe?
You've already passed one.

And those terrible twos?
I'll never forget.
Oh the trouble you caused?
And still cause yet.

And everything changed?
When you were three.
Your brother was born?
But you were still special to me.

You were such a big help
When you turned four
Getting the baby's diapers
And helping with much more

And now that you're five?
You still amaze me.
You are my princess?
My sweet angel, Mackenzie.

My Marriage in Numbers

One is not so lonely when the mind in joy engages.
Two can be despairing when the one flys off in rages.
Three was a treasure when the two had multiplied.
Four was when my heart broke, and all I did was cry.

Just Us Three

Who would have guessed . . .
Things that can?t be undone
all the beauty, how we we?re blessed
you should have never been the one
The pain never eases
but blissful memories we knew
keeps our heart strong
cherished times shared by two
Unbreakable bonds, a foundation that can?t crumble
remarkable life lessons that we see
of unconditional love that makes us humble
that will forever live through just us three

Lady of tears

I'm a lady of tears
tears for you.
The 1st tear I shed
because I found you.
The 2nd tear I shed
because you loved me.
The 3rd tear I shed
because you said that you didn't care.
The 4th tear fell
because you said that I did not share.
The 5th tear fell
because all I have still was not good enough
6th through 10th led me to believe
that you wanted my heart to bleed.
11th through 15th gave me the realization
that your love I did not need.
The 16th, the last tear fell for you
thanks to you my tears became an ocean.
The ocean that let me escape the land of lies and fears.
I became a lady of smiles
instead of lady of tears.
