If It All Ended Tomorrow
I could have searched for you

If It All Ended Tomorrow
I could have waited for you

If It All Ended Tomorrow
I could have roamed the roads to reach you

Each day I tend to remember
The way you said you loved me

Each day I tend to recall
The move you make to touch me

Each day I tend to remind myself
The time you said goodbye under the rain

Why have you gone far away from me
When I need you so
Why have you left me in the rain
When I long for you to ease the pain

If It All Ended Tomorrow
I could have honestly loved you

If It All Ended Tomorrow
I could have cherished each moment of you

If It All Ended Tomorrow
I could have been in heaven with you

Each morning I have been crying
Whenever I remember the day you left

Each day I have been mourning
Whenever I recall the day you were gone

Each day I have been blaming heaven
Whenever I realize your love has been taken

How much do you know
That I need you each and every moment now?

Yet if it all ended tomorrow,
I want to tell you that I always love you so

Live Each Day

Live each day to the max....
Don't hold back,
Don't run too fast.
Before we know it time has flown
And we're left saying
"I wish I'd known!"

So live each day like it's your last.
Have no regrets,
Don't cling to the past.
Our destiny lies in the here - today!
Have no regrets; take time to play.
Say the things you need to say.
Do the things you need to do.

Our tomorrows are not yet here
Not guaranteed that we'll be there.
So embrace each heartbeat,
every breath. Every moment...
Have no regrets.

When the smoke clears

you see things for what they are
you feel emotions the way they are
you experience everything for the way it is

your mind is not full of uncertainties
your heart is not seesawing with emotions
you soul is no longer tortured
your spirit is finally free

you no longer have pain in your heart
you no longer can cry for a source of pain that does not exist
you no longer have questions running in your mind
you no longer give your soul and spirit to someone not worth it

You stand taller
you fight harder
you live like there's no tomorrow
you breathe again
you heal and so much more...
when the smoke clears

Left to say

I often wonder what would be left to say
if hateful words could not make a way
if what momma instilled would come true
if you have nothing nice to say
then say nothing at all
but for some reason nice words never come from you
if only once all your negativity you would keep
because your evil dirty looks cut skin deep
many wonder why I stay away
like the words needed to be said
a little peace is all I desire
to be treated like a person, may be even a daughter
not someone who was casted away
so I'll continue to wonder what words you would say
if all the hateful words were taken away
I guess you would have nothing left to say

Dedication: To Gillian- my only best friend who actually kept my secrets.

I guess it all began at the p7 welcome party- we were the ones welcoming them though. I was twelve and I guess quite mature compared to the stereotypical twelve year old. Had stopped growing (at the alarming height of 5,2), my metabolism had successfully broken up and I had tits to challenge Jordon. But of course, being a curvy short twelve year old isn't necessarily a good thing. Not with the media being the way it is.

So anyway, I was well known by everyone in the school for being 'that wee slag that got aff wae Jordon Riddle'. Which wasn't a good thing... so like any sane person I was determined to clear my name. This of course meant I had to nip someone a lot more good looking than 'Riddle'.

Which brings us back to the p7 and S1 dance. If you had hovered over our hall you would have seen that everyone split off into large circles of friends and you would have seen me bobbing back and forth between them as- I'm not saying I was popular- I had a lot of friends.

Anyway, my friend Emma had recently started going out with this boy called Ross. And trust me I gave them hell, and if you had seen them (and you are a 'friendly bitch') you would have too. The word I would use to describe that couple best would be... incesty. Not that they were related- and not that that is a real word- but both of them had blonde curly hair, blue eyes and they had similar facial features. But I had nagged them to nip each other for.... weeks and I was getting very impatient.

So I was kinda delighted that when I got down from the karaoke, singing Like a virgin with Nicola and Caitlin for all those interested (we wanted to piss off the teachers), I found out something interesting.

“Emma,” I had said to her teasingly. “How are you and Ross, you have barely said two consecutive words to each other tonight.”

Emma was quick to defend. “Actually, I just danced with him.” she said sounding pure pleased with herself.

“Yeah but have you nipped him yet?” I asked determined to find something to tease her about.

What she said next surprised me. “What? Oh yeah, just there.” she said pointing behind her.

At that moment a wave of horror swept over me. I was no longer the only non VL in our regi class. In my head all hell had broken loose. But on the surface I was acting all squealey and teengagery.. and in my opinion really annoying... probably everyone elses opinion too.

So I became even more determined to wipe myself of the after math of Riddle. So I looked and looked... it was really sad. But luckily all my other friends stayed normal.

But about a week and a few days later I hit gold. I was at a youth club in the basement of a baptist church. The youth club had been fondly nicknamed the Crypt. I went there every Friday from when I was 11 to when I was 15. I went to far more exiting places during the week but the Crypt was always the place to be on a Friday night. (Unless someone was having a party of course.) we used to get pissed off at all the Christian volunteers who continuously tried to shove their religion down our throats... they never did succeed.

It was here I met Chris. He was relatively good looking, had auburn hair, was 16 and was around six feet tall.

He was perfectly aware of my age and we spent the whole night talking and playing air hockey- which my friend Kirsty later pointed out was just so he could look down my top- we had a really good time. And just as the club was closing we nipped.... a lot. Then- as he believed it was a sin to snog in a church- we went outside and continued snogging. (I'm being blunt aren't I?”)

And trust me everyone saw us, my older sisters fourth year friends, my friends that I knew were complete bitches... trust me everyone... oopsadasie.

I went home after being lectured by my- quite neddy- friend Jackie about getting off with guys that are four years older and is technically illegal to do (but who pays any attention to those laws). The first thing I did was go on msn and talk to my best friend Gillian. I told her what had happened, knowing that she would keep it secret and then convinced Lily not tell anyone and convinced her to convince Holly Payne and Adrien (who lived in the same close as her) not to go around blabbing... no that was Kirsty and Jackie's job. I knew they would spread it round the complete blabbers that I had got off with a guy who had left school and threatened to kick in the racist techie teachers head. (We went to an international school racisim was seen as bad as murder.)

So when I ran into Susan, Emma and Fiona going to school 2 out of three of the blondes knew about me getting off with Chris. Kirsty had told Emma and Jackie had told Fiona. My accidental yelling told Susan who I was not on good terms with.

Next I told the girls who I was friends with in my regi class. Gillian and her twin Sarah, Susan, Emma, Fiza and Myriam. The ones who didn't already know swore to secrecy.

But 'unfortunately' the word had gotten out through the curse that was Kirsty's ability to speak words. But a miracle happened... the boys in my regi class didn't find out until three days later. The funniest thing in my opinion was that the girls in my sisters year clearly had no life as they all discussed Jennifer's older boyfriend. But the most amazing thing of all was that no-one in my family ever found out about me and Chris.. and we lasted quite long. I guess it was quite lucky that my sister went on an exchange to Cyprus around the time it was the topic of the school.

But the main thing in the story is this brilliant outcome... I was wiped clean of Riddle.

My end notes

Nipping means snogging or 'french kissing' in Glasgow slang.

Any other confused questions or probably flames email me them.

Till then see ya

Confessions of a broken heart

Whispered promises, ripped apart

You left me crying, face saline stained

Engulfed alone by mounting pain

Leaving wondering what to feel

The wounds you created so slow to heal

But I was lost within your charming smile

Left to crawl a thousand miles

Searching with no end in sight

Hopeless in the faithless plight

A jester’s toy, a futile fight

You’ve broken down all my might.

Once again burned by the game

Fruitless love, my spirit maimed.

You played it well, I gave in to fast

The hand that was dealt

Covered mistakes made by a haunting past

One day I’ll learn, the love that I felt

Is only an illusion, more like a bloody pelt

Left to cover your trophy wall

A reminded never again to fall

Sitting here within the jesters’ court

Blood pooling from wounds of his sport

The game is over, I’ve wrote the end

Crimson titles, smearing “This time you win”

This is my legacy as you juggle your stolen hearts

This is the confession of a broken heart

We Could...

You could come to me
but you don't

We could be together
but we aren't

There are others
to be considered
so we do

You could kiss me
deep, slow, long
but you don't

I could caress you
soft, firm, warm
but I don't

Others to be considered
so we do

Others to be considered
and so we are
alone
each one
with others yet
alone

Others to be considered

So unprepared, oh tiny little light.
Unsure what to say, to do I just found out tonight.
Sitting starting a two little pink lines that say you are there.
Breath to quickly right now I can't dare.
How long have I waited, and dreamed of the day?
Tears now falling, suddenly I'm afraid
So many unanswered questions
Is it meant to be? This tiny little life
Growing inside of me.

No Longer

I wake each day,
And some of those,
I have thoughts of you.
Not as often as I use to.
Once In awhile I see
a beautiful smile,
that brings me back
to the lips I use to kiss.
We where young
and so very adventurous.
It never mattered to us
what others might think.
Only that we had each moment.
Then as time moved on,
we walked down different paths.
You took a course,
That I could not fathom,
but I loved you all the same.
That part of my heart
will always be yours.

We only go around one time

Around Once, is Enough

This is where I stop,
The ride ends here.
I went around
once with you,
and not again.
I did my time.
I suffered though
your lies.
Will not go
around again.
One trip
is more then
enough pain for me.

The merry go round
that is your
reality,
is not mine.
You are hidden
 so deep,
behind all that
cheerful facade.
I will not be
trapped, screaming
for you to stop.
So I get off here.
Let's not go
around again.

FLASHBACK

"Baby, I'm home." Taylor hollered by the door.

Hearing Taylor call, Arlene jumped up with joy and gave him a big hug. Taylor's heart leaped. Excitedly, he carried Arlene and gave her a twirl, then handed her a bouquet of red and peach roses. A smile spread across Arlene's face as she gave Taylor a kiss on the cheek.

"What took you so long, Taylor?" Arlene asked, "I've been waiting here the whole afternoon."

Taylor looked at Arlene and ran a hand through her ebony black hair.

"Sorry, babe." he apologized, "I had some affairs to deal with."

"What affairs?" Arlene asked, her heart pounding with excitement.

Taylor smiled and answered,

"You know what, babe, I'm going to audition for American Idol."

Hearing this, Arlene's smile faded. She raised an eyebrow and looked at Taylor puzzled.

"Y...Yeah?"

"What's wrong, babe?" Taylor asked.

"Nothing." Arlene fibbed, "So, you're gonna join the audition."

"Yeah."

"Then you're gonna go party with the girls and forget me, right?" Arlene continued.

Taylor crossed his arms and sighed.

"Listen, babe. I'm not a playboy type of guy, okay?" he said seriously, " What makes you think I'll do that?"

Arlene made no reply. She just kept silent and looked out the venetian blinds.

"If you're not gonna keep this straight, then it's better that we break up." Taylor continued.

When the words came out of Taylor's mouth, Arlene threw the bouquet of roses onto his face and left the sala, running back to her room. Afterwards, Taylor saw Arlene come out of the room, carrying a luggage.

"Hey, baby, I..." Taylor said, shocked.

"Don't talk to me." Arlene responded.

"Baby, I'm sorry." Taylor pleaded.

Arlene started towards the door. Before she could leave, she turned around and glared at Taylor.

"Don't speak to me again!" Arlene screamed and ran out of the house.

END FLASHBACK

I don't wanna go another day
So I'm telling you exactly what is on my mind
Seems like everybody's breaking up
Throwing their love away
I know I got a good thing right here
That's why I say (Hey)

"Taylor, Taylor, are you all right?"

Taylor rubbed his eyes and jumped off his bed.

"I'm fine, Andy." he answered.

"Hurry up. We're next for the group singing." Andy reminded.

"Oh, okay." Taylor nodded as he headed to the bathroom to wash his face.

"What's up with you these days? Seems like you're often quiet." Andy said.

"Nothing, I'm just fine."

"Oh really? But I think you're having a problem."

"No way."

"Listen man, you're not fooling anyone. Are you stuck with..." Andy paused, "Arlene?"

Nobody's going to love me better
Imma stick with you
Forever
Nobody's going to take me higher
Imma stick with you
You know how to appreciate me
Imma stick with you
My baby
Nobody ever made me feel this way
Imma stick with you

"What are you talking about?" Taylor asked as he came out of the bathroom.

Before Andy could reply, a knock was heard on the door. Taylor opened it and saw Melissa, another fellow contestant.

"Hey guys, it's about time. The judges are waiting." Melissa reminded.

"Okay, let's go." Taylor said as they left altogether.

"Come on, Arlene. Let's go in. Time's a wasting, you know." Genta said, pulling her friend's arm.

Arlene pushed Genta away and ran to a corner.

"I don't want to." Arlene insisted, "Why don't we just go to Starbucks and have some drinks with Covey and AJ instead? I don't want to stay bored inside a cold room."

"If you're bored, why do you have to come here with me?" Genta asked, her eyes twinkling.

Arlene stared at Genta with a puzzled look on her face.

"Hey, Taylor!" Genta greeted happily as she waved.

This time, Arlene turned around and saw Genta shaking hands with Taylor, Melissa and Andy. Afterwards, the four of them walked towards the door. Andy and Melissa entered first, while Genta whispered something to Taylor. Taylor took a swift glance at Arlene and then went in, closing the door behind. Arlene plumped herself to a nearby bench and sighed deeply.

I don't wanna go another day
So I'm telling you exactly what is on my mind
See the way we ride
In our private lives
Ain't nobody getting in between
I want you to know that you're the only one for me
And I say

XXX

Silence reigned for hours as Arlene sat alone, thinking. Teardrops rolled down her cheeks as she recalled each and every memory of the happy times spent. It really wasn't easy to make up after a fight, sort of.

Nobody's going to love me better
Imma stick with you
Forever
Nobody's going to take me higher
Imma stick with you
You know how to appreciate me
Imma stick with you
My baby
Nobody ever made me feel this way
Imma stick with you

After a few more hours, Arlene could hear the sound of footsteps clicking on the floor. Could it be him? she thought, pressing her back through the wall. As Arlene was about to say something, she felt someone's hand on her shoulder.

"Are you okay?"

The voice sounded familiar. Arlene turned around and saw Taylor sitting beside her with a warm smile on his face. He said,

"I'm sorry."

Arlene bowed her head for a while without looking up. After a few moments, she lifted her eyes to Taylor and mumbled,

"Don't be sorry. It's not even your fault."

"No, Arlene." Taylor insisted, patting Arlene's shoulder gently, "I shouldn't have said that."

"It's okay, but I'm sorry of how I reacted towards your decision, Taylor." Arlene said, tears falling down her eyes once more.

And now
Ain't nothing else I can need
And now
I'm singing 'cause you're so, so into me
I got you
We'll be making love endlessly
I'm with you
Baby, you're with me

Another few moments passed when Taylor spoke,

"Still calling me Taylor? What were you supposed to call me before?"

"Baby..." Arlene said, embracing Taylor.

So don't you worry about
People hanging around
They ain't bringing us down
I know you and you know me
And that's all that counts
So don't you worry about
People hanging around
They ain't bringing us down
I know you and you know me
And that's why I say

The two lovers hugged as they shared some moments of reunion between them.

"Please forgive me, baby." Arlene added.

"Sure, but can I ask you something?" Taylor asked, looking into Arlene's eyes.

"What is it?"

"Can we start again?"

Nobody's going to love me better
Imma stick with you
Forever
Nobody's going to take me higher
Imma stick with you
You know how to appreciate me
Imma stick with you
My baby
Nobody ever made me feel this way
Imma stick with you

"Yes." she answered with a smile on her face.

Taylor ran a hand through Arlene's hair and pulled her into a kiss on the lips.

Nobody's going to love me better
Imma stick with you
Forever
Nobody's going to take me higher
Imma stick with you
You know how to appreciate me
Imma stick with you
My baby
Nobody ever made me feel this way
Imma stick with you
