Saturday, July 2, 2005 - Write a Haiku. Definition: A Haiku is an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively; also: a poem in this form usually having a seasonal reference.

Saturday, July 2, 2005 - Write a Tanka. Definition: A Tanka is an unrhymed Japanese verse form of five lines containing 5, 7, 5, 7, and 7 syllables respectively; also: a poem in this form (it can be continuing thought - all 5 lines can be just one sentence)
